ACCOUNTANT

Department: Finance

We are seeking a competent, experienced, and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage payroll and ensure timely statutory and tax compliance.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, postings, reconciliations, and record keeping.
• Support budget preparation, expenditure monitoring, and financial analysis.
• Prepare accurate monthly and management financial reports.
• Ensure adherence to financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Support tax planning, audits, inventory management, and debt management.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA/ACCA certification or progress towards completion is an added advantage.
• 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan tax and statutory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
