Lead the design, installation, testing and commissioning of irrigation systems.
Conduct technical assessments and develop appropriate irrigation and mechanization solutions for farmers and commercial clients.
Prepare technical proposals, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quotations and project cost estimates.
Support business development and technical sales for irrigation, mechanization, and other agricultural engineering services.
Plan and coordinate tractor and mechanization services, including equipment utilization, maintenance, and service delivery.
Supervise Irrigation Engineers, Tractor Operators, and other agricultural engineering personnel.
Monitor engineering project implementation, quality, timelines, costs, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure proper management and accountability for engineering tools, equipment, machinery, and materials.
Promote compliance with engineering, occupational health, safety, and environmental standards.
Identify and introduce appropriate technologies and improvements to strengthen engineering service delivery
Skills
A bachelor’s degree in Agricultural EngineeringBiosystems EngineeringIrrigation EngineeringAgricultural Mechanizationor a related engineering discipline. A Project Management qualification or certification will be an added advantage. At least five (5) years of progressive experience in agricultural engineeringirrigation systemsmechanized agricultureor agricultural infrastructure. At least two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role.
