Boiler Operator – JESA

Reports To: Utility Manager

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a competent and safety-conscious Boiler Operator to operate, monitor. and maintain boiler systems to ensure a reliable and efficient steam supply for production operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and monitor boiler equipment to maintain the required steam supply and pressure.
• Monitor fuel supply, water levels, water quality, and chemical treatment parameters.
• Conduct routine inspections, safety checks, cleaning, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot boiler faults, identify potential equipment failures, and report breakdowns.
• Monitor boiler efficiency and consumption of fuel, water, and steam to optimize performance.
• Maintain accurate operational records, log sheets, and maintenance reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards within the boiler house.
• Monitor spare parts requirements and support equipment maintenance and upgrades.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Certificate in an Engineering-related field.
• At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of boiler operations, water treatment, and preventive maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to workplace safety.
