We are looking for a fast, clean, organized and efficient Housekeeper to join our team on a
part-time basis.
Working hours: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Clean and prepare guest cottages to a high standard.
• Thoroughly clean bedrooms, bathrooms, bathtubs and outdoor areas.
• Change bed linen, towels and other room supplies.
• Ensure cottages are properly arranged, neat and guest-ready.
• Restock guest amenities when required.
• Keep common areas clean and presentable.
• Handle cleaning tasks quickly and efficiently without compromising quality.
• Report damaged items, missing items or maintenance issues.
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are properly used and stored.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
• Must be available to work from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Someone who can work quickly, follow instructions, notice the small details and consistently
leave every cottage clean, fresh and perfectly arranged for the next guest.
HOSTESS (only female candidates)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Welcome and warmly receive guests upon arrival.
• Assist guests with check-in and direct them to their cottages or dining areas.
• Attend to guest inquiries and requests professionally.
• Take and communicate food and beverage orders when required.
• Coordinate with the kitchen and other team members to ensure smooth service.
• Follow up with guests during their stay to ensure they are comfortable.
• Assist with reservations and guest bookings.
• Handle guest concerns politely and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain a welcoming, professional and positive atmosphere.
• Assist with promoting additional services and experiences offered at Hakuna Matata Gardens.
Cottage Attendant (only female candidates)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Clean and prepare cottages before guest check-in.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the guest’s stay.
• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, bathtubs and outdoor areas.
• Change bed linen, towels and other room supplies.
• Ensure cottages are properly arranged and presentable.
• Restock guest amenities when needed.
• Report any damaged items or maintenance issues.
• Assist guests with basic requests when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and order around the cottage areas.
• Handle guest belongings and property with care and confidentiality.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality or a similar role is an added advantage.
• Minimum education level: S.6 certificate (UACE)
• Must be clean, organized and detail-oriented.
• Must be reliable, respectful and trustworthy.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must take pride in maintaining beautiful and welcoming guest spaces.
CHEF/COOK
We are looking for someone who is good at:
• Preparing delicious breakfast, lunch & dinner
• Preparing meals according to guest orders
• Beautiful plate presentation
• Maintaining good food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Managing portions and minimizing food waste
• Working efficiently, especially during busy periods
• Creating a great dining experience for our guests
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum qualification: Certificate in Catering or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Chef/Cook is preferred.
• Must be good at preparing a variety of meals, including breakfast.
• Must have good knowledge of food presentation and portioning.
• Must be clean, organized and attentive to detail.
• Must be reliable, responsible and able to work independently.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Must live in or conveniently commute from Nansana, Wakiso or Naluvule
