1 Programme Implementation and Coordination
i. Support the planning and implementation of education programme activities in alignment with SAO U’s strategies and donor requirements
2 Programme Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
i. Collect, verify, and submit enrolment data each term from target ECD centres and primary schools to support programme tracking and evidence-based decision-making in line with project indicators
ii. Participate in routine monitoring of education activities, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, verification, and documentation.
iii. Maintain updated field records, attendance, activity reports, and beneficiary tracking tools.
3 Community and Stakeholder Engagement
i. Mobilize and sensitize communities, parents, School Management Committees (SMCs), Centre Management Committees (CMCs), and other relevant community groups on education-related interventions.
ii. Build and maintain strong working relationships with teachers, head teachers, ECD caregivers, district education officials, and partner organizations.
4 Capacity Building
i. Build the capacity of child protection committees, School Management Committees, ECD caregivers, and children’s club patrons on relevant project areas and approaches to address issues affecting children
ii. In collaboration with the Programme Area Coordinator, develop and implement tailored mentorship plans for community structures in line with their roles and responsibilities.
5 Children’s Clubs Formation and Management
i. Lead the formation, strengthening, and capacity building of children’s clubs in target schools, ensuring the meaningful inclusion and participation of children with disabilities.
ii. Train teachers, club patrons, and child leaders in participatory approaches, life skills, child rights, and safeguarding.
6 Resource Management and Accountability
i. Ensure the responsible use of programme resources, including materials and activity funds, in accordance with SAO U’s financial and operational guidelines.
ii. Support community structures and schools in maintaining accountability records related to education project inputs.
7 Child Protection, Safeguarding, and Spiritual Nurture
i. Promote and uphold SAO U’s child protection and safeguarding standards in all school and community engagements.
ii. Report child protection concerns promptly through established reporting and referral pathways
