Senior Technician - Department of Physiology

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1.    Ensure harmonious working relationships amongst staff under his/her care;

2.    Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities;

3.    Maintain financial and other resources in the course of duty;

4.    Participate in research & consultancy;

5.    Compile reports and inventories;

6.    Prepare and supervise students’ practicals;

7.    Maintain guidelines & regulations to ensure quality control and safety in the workplace;

8.    Induct and mentor support staff in technical skills;

9.    Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head of Department

Required Qualifications

                     i.        Master of Science in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences and Management or related                                        discipline;

                    ii.        At least an upper second Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Laboratory Technology.

Experience:

•  At least 5 years working experience in Laboratory work

Tenure of Appointment: 4-year contract;
