Tailor – Refugee Mental Health Network

 Job Description

The tailor will be responsible for measuring, cutting and sewing the clothing to be used for making the laptop sleeves/ bags. He or she will be making services as part of organisations livelihood and skill development activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide tailoring services as assigned
• Cut fabric according to the patterns and designs
• Maintain and properly use tailoring equipment and machines
• Keep the work area clean and organised

Requirements

• Proven experience in tailoring
• Skilled in both machine and hand sewing
• Strong time management skills to meet deadlines
• Good attention to detail and quality
• Good communication skills
• Skills in pattern making (desirable)
• Good eye sight, ability to sit for long hours on a machine

Education & Experience

• Certificate in tailoring, fashion and design or related field
• 1+ years of experience in tailoring experience
