Finance Trust Bank (FTB) is now a Tier 2 Financial Institution that is regulated by the Central Bank of Uganda. The bank serves a clientele of over 300,000 depositors and over 37,000 borrowers, through a network of 34 branches countrywide. The bank offers a variety of Products and services including Savings, Current accounts, Loans, Money transfer services, and Bills payments to its target market which comprises of micro, small and medium entrepreneurs, salary earners and youth.

To support business growth under Employee Banking, the Bank seeks to recruit dynamic, self-driven and results-oriented individuals for the following position:

TRADE FINANCE SUPERVISOR

This position reports directly to the Manager Credit Evaluation-SME/Commercial and will be based at Head Office.

Role of the Job:

Ensure that all fees on Bid Securities, Guarantees, Invoice discounting, LPO financing and Certificate discounting are collected, with their proper accounting entries.

Key Result Areas:

• Ensure that the monthly Bid Bonds & Guarantee transaction volume report is prepared by the 5th of every month.
• Ensure 0% error rate in transaction processing of Bid Bonds & Guarantees.
• Ensure that the documentation of Invoice discounting, LPO financing and Certificate discounting is in order.
• Ensure proper transaction handling of Invoice discounting, LPO financing and Certificate discounting.
• Ensure timely monthly preparation of Invoice discounting, LPO financing and Certificate discounting report
• Ensure 2 business days TAT is achieved in response to requests for new Guarantees, Invoice discounting, LPO financing and Certificate discounting. “Response “ in this context means response rather than approval.
• Deepen Customer Service culture throughout the Unit.
• Participate closely in the capacity Management programs within the Credit Function.
• Ensure safe custody of Trade Finance documents.
• Timely response to Trade Finance related queries.

Minimum educational and technical competence requirements:

• First degree in any discipline with a minimum of a second class lower.
• A minimum of two (2) years cognate experience in Banking with a minimum of one year in core lending functions.
• Professional qualification and Post-graduate qualification in Business related Field is an added advantage.
